The newspaper committee meets on Mondays at lunch in room 124.

If you are interested in becoming a member of the newspaper team, feel free to drop in on a meeting and find out more -- we don't bite! Beyond the fact that it looks good on your resume, joining the GloBELL Roar committee offers many rewarding experiences which include being part of a fun group of students, keeping connected with the school community, improving your writing skills and much more.

With the choice of several different sections to cover (see below to learn more), there's a place for everybody while new members are always welcome. An additional note: whenever an issue is released (typically during the last meeting of each month), we hold a potluck lunch open to all committee members to recognize and commend their contributions towards the newspaper.

The newspaper is divided into eight main sections: World News and Events, School Events, Sports, Student Voice, Science and Technology, Creative, Opinions, and Tips and Advice. Each section hosts its own sub-group of members who contribute toward that section. Newspaper members are allowed to choose and change which section they are part of as many times as they wish until they are satisfied with working in a section in which they are comfortable. Everyone in each section is led by that section's respective editor who along with the other section editors, editor-in-chief and managing editor, forms the newspaper's board of editors. For more information, check our files "Bell Roar Structure Plan" and "Bell Roar Operating System" attached on the Bell Roar 2012-2013 Facebook group or if you don't have a Facebook account, send an e-mail asking for a copy of each.

If you aren't formally part of the committee but would still like to submit a piece of writing, reporting, or photography, come to a meeting to speak with the editors or send an e-mail to roar@bellhs.net.

Letters to the editor and suggestions for articles and other comments may be e-mailed to the previously mentioned address, posted on our Facebook group or given directly to the editor-in-chief, Fay Lin, the managing editor, Rossdan Craig, or anyone of the section editors whom you may recognize.
