Dear GloBell Roar Readers,
As I near the end of my time at Bell High School, I continually reflect on the amount of time I spent in extracurricular and after school activities. I can safely say that none of them measure up to my contribution to the GloBell Roar.
Working for you, for the amazingly diverse population that is Bell High School, has been the most rewarding experience that I have yet to come by in my eighteen years of life. As cliché as it sounds, I could not have done it successfully without the incredibly talented group of individuals who religiously attend every lunchtime meeting in Mrs. White’s room, even when I miss them myself.
Without further ado, I would like to thank some people who made the GloBell Roar worth being a part of.
Firstly, we would not exist without Mrs. White who makes it all possible, nor would we be as comfortable without those big comfy couches.
Without Bensun Fong, the Roar would not look as good as it does, and I would still be entirely useless with formatting. Thanks to Richard Ye for making the Roar more accessible by putting it online. Thank you to Eric Wu, for always helping out with editing when I was getting bogged down, and for stepping up to the plate next year as editor-in-chief.
And a huge thank you to all of the contributors who consistently came to meetings, kept contributing, and did not give up on the Roar even when times were rough and deadlines were looming.
I cannot think of anything more important than having a school newspaper that represents the voices and outlooks of all the students. I hope that the Roar will continue to grow and prosper as the years go on, and I have all the faith in the world for Eric and his loyal, passionate, and sometimes mental, gloBell Roar-ers!
Keep writing, keep informing, and keep allowing your voice to be heard. Because one day, when no one else is speaking out, you will have to rise to the occasion.
Yours Truly,
Meaghan Wray
