Volleyball at Bell: Update
Junior Girls
Bell’s very own Junior Girls volleyball team had a relatively strong season, considering that they only had three grade 10 students on the team, and mostly grade 9 students, enjoying a 4-6 record, before losing in the quarterfinals to Glebe. The Junior Girls team also hosted a successful invitation tournament at Bell High School, which Nepean won. Finally the junior girls team would like to thank all of the volunteers who helped for score-keeping, refereeing, and helped out at practises and games – we look forward to an even more successful year next year!
Junior Boys
The Junior Boys volleyball team had a developmental season this year, with a win-loss record at 2-8. Undoubtedly, the highlight of their season was winning a 3-0 match against St. Joseph’s high school, before playing Glebe in their last game on April 15th. With only 2 returning players on the roster, the junior boys spent a great deal of time learning the basics… which only means that next year will be a more successful season for the boys volleyball team.
