Ah... fall... leaves are falling, animals hibernating, and some of our sports seasons are ending! Gasp! But then, with some of the amazing results and stories, what’s not to be happy about? And then, there’s also other sports starting like boys’ basketball or senior girls’ volleyball. Here is a recap of the stuff happening in the world of Bell sports:

Soccer

Following up with the junior boys, they capped off a phenomenal regular season with a 4-2-1 record, making the playoffs. In their first preliminary game, they played a tough team from Nepean High, and won 3-2. From there, they went on to face St Peter’s.

After playing a hard fought game, including some glorious chances and a controversial call by the ref, the boys’ season was unfortunately ended with a loss to their opponents 1-0. Congratulations guys for an amazing season and a thank you to Ms. Keeble and Mr. Elevli for coaching the team!

On another note, PEACE soccer has also started!!! Which country would win??? Stay tuned...

X-Country

The X-Country team led by the dominating midget boys and girls went into the National Capital Championships meet hoping to field one team for OFSAA. It just happened to be that the midget girls, led by Sam Klus, made it to OFSAA, with Sam winning her 4th race and Bridget Irwin (5th), Montana Mason (20th) and Katie Glatt (37th) turning in great results.

They finished the season as West Conference and City Champions! With high momentum, the girls went to OFSAA, in Toronto! Congratulations to everybody on this team and way to run hard! And also a big thank you to Mr. Stasko for coaching this year’s awesome x-country team!

Girl’s Ice Hockey

In hockey news, the girls ended their run placing 5th in a very hard division and had a 3-7 record. They played with class and sportsmanship and had lots and lots of fun! Congrats!

Senior Boys Volleyball

The senior boys also ended their season recently with a 1-8 record... They played their hardest and tried their best but unfortunately they didn’t have much luck this season.

Varsity Girls Basketball

The girls basketball team, like many other teams, also ended their season, working hard and placing 6th in their division with a 3-7 record to show for all their effort. Great job!
